OVERTONE X AZADI SOUND presents Joker [UK]

The UK dubstep legend Joker returns to Barcelona to push the Azadi Sound System to its limits.

A pioneering DJ and producer from Bristol, Joker is widely credited as a key architect of the city’s futuristic “purple sound.” Emerging in the mid-2000s, he reshaped dubstep with his signature blend of heavy sub-bass & glossy synth leads. His deep-coloured, melodic approach stood in bold contrast to the darker minimalism of early dubstep, earning him cult status within the UK bass scene.

Since then, he’s delivered iconic releases like “Juggernaut” and the Skrillex collaboration “Tears” both as crunchy and rousing as classics such as “Purple City.”

Azadi Sound selectors + OVERTONE residents open the function, running everything from dub to grime, UK garage to UK techno - steadily raising the pressure
before the full sonic avalanche of Joker.
