Om evenemanget

“Inanimate objects are always fine and nothing, unfortunately, can be faulted... I suspect that objects do this for educational reasons,” reflects Zbigniew Herbert in his poignant verse. This sentiment is beautifully embodied in the permanent exhibition at the Ethnographic Museum in Krakow, where the essence of Polish rural life is captured through timeless artifacts.

Nestled in the heart of the museum, the exhibition unveils the rich tapestry of past generations, illustrating how individuals organized their realities. It features a collection of items hailing from various ethnographic regions of Poland, inviting visitors to explore micro-stories related to life stages, work, nature, creativity, rituals, and interpersonal relationships.

Visitors can navigate the exhibition through four thematic perspectives: Inside, The Rhythm of Life, Human Objects, and Unattainable Earth. Each perspective offers a unique lens on the artifacts, allowing for both holistic understanding and focused exploration of particular objects. This exhibition not only celebrates heritage but also inspires new interpretations, enabling objects to evoke delight, memories, and deeper reflections. 🌍✨
