Home to one of the largest collections of amber globally, this museum features treasures dating back 40 million years, including fascinating nuggets with inclusions. Experience an intriguing journey through an amber forest, a stunning amber chamber, and eye-catching works from contemporary artists.
Housed in the Great Mill, the largest medieval mill in Europe, the museum is steeped in history and built by the Teutonic Knights around 1350. The exhibition area spans almost 1,000 square meters, inviting visitors to explore varied exhibits.
- First Floor: Learn about the amber production process, with around 300 varieties of resin from across the globe on display! 🌍
- Second Floor: Admire both antique artifacts showcasing the skill of past artisans and modern jewelry that embodies contemporary design. 💍
Part of the exhibit also highlights the historical significance of the amber chamber, spotlighting the contributions of Danzigers in its creation.
