In 1978, two passionate punks—Peter Bywaters and Del Strangefish—came together to form Peter and The Test Tube Babies in Peacehaven, near Brighton. Their journey began with their first track, Elvis Is Dead, which captured the attention of Radio 1 DJ John Peel, leading to a session that catapulted them into the spotlight.

With their explosive debut single, Banned From The Pubs, fans were hooked! Their acclaimed album Pissed And Proud skyrocketed to #1 on the independent charts, and the subsequent The Mating Sounds Of South American Frogs sold over 100,000 copies and became a must-have in every collection.

From sold-out shows to representing the UK at the MTV East/West party celebrating the fall of the Berlin Wall, Peter and the Test Tube Babies have etched their names in punk rock history. With a strong foundation provided by Peter and Del, the band has released gems like Soberphobia and Supermodels, marking their triumphant comeback in 1995, followed by successful albums like A Foot Full Of Bullets.
