🇬🇧 Public Image Ltd (PiL) is a groundbreaking British band founded in 1978 by John Lydon following the split of the Sex Pistols. Alongside Keith Levene and Jah Wobble, Lydon paved a new path in post-punk music with a unique blend of sound experimentation, hypnotic bass lines, and avant-garde rock.

Their debut album, Public Image: First Issue (1978), set a radical aesthetic, followed by iconic releases such as Metal Box (1979) and The Flowers of Romance (1981), which are now considered major references in the post-punk genre for their minimalist and abrasive sound.

After being active until 1992 and taking a lengthy hiatus, PiL reformed in 2009, embarking on extensive tours and launching three critically acclaimed albums: This Is PiL (2012), What The World Needs Now… (2015), and End of World (2023). The band continues to innovate and evolve, relentlessly challenging the norms of music!
