This remarkable retrospective showcases nearly 150 striking black-and-white and color photographs, many of which have never been published before. Over the past 70 years, Robert Vano has cemented his status as one of the most notable figures in Czech and international photography, and this exhibition marks the poignant conclusion of his artistic journey. 📸✨
Travel through iconic cities—New York, Milan, Paris, and finally Prague, where Vano has made his home for over three decades. Experience incredible artworks featuring renowned portraits, captivating male nudes, and poetic still lifes. Among the highlights are pieces crafted with the rare platinum printing technique, celebrated for its exceptional durability and stunning tonal depth.
The exhibition also presents never-before-seen photographs from the 1970s and 1980s, alongside Vano's latest works influenced by the aesthetics of Miroslav Tichý and Sarah Moon. Attendees will discover personal archival materials, audio and video recordings, as well as a documentary film entitled Robert Vano – The Story of a Man, directed by Adolf Zika.
