Born in the beautiful bluegrass of Kentucky and raised on Wyoming's high plains, Shelby Means is a celebrated bassist in the bluegrass scene with nearly two decades of experience in various genres, including folk, rock, Americana, and country. Now based in Charleston, SC, Shelby gained prominence as a member of the GRAMMY-nominated bluegrass band Della Mae.
Embark on a musical journey as Means, having traveled to nearly 30 countries, brings her talents to you! She is not only one half of the roots duo Sally & George alongside her husband Joel Timmons but also a member of Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway — a collaboration that earned her a GRAMMY for their 2023 album, City of Gold.
