Founded in 2016 by an ensemble of talented musicians, including Mark Roadnight (lead vocals, guitar), Roger Evan (keys), and Mark Claydon (drums), Simply Dan consists of 11 skilled artists passionate about presenting the intricate harmonies and rhythms that define Steely Dan's music. With a solid lineup featuring Darren Spicer (guitar) and David McLeod (bass), each member brings incredible world-class experience, having toured and performed globally.
This remarkable band harnesses a 4-piece horn section along with two soulful backing vocalists, ensuring they truly honor the complexity of Steely Dan's beloved classics. From early hits featuring Walter Becker to the later musical influences of Larry Carlton and Steve Gadd, Simply Dan is poised to deliver an authentic and thrilling performance that stays faithful to the original recordings while infusing their unique style.
