Slam Poetry: Best of SK brings together the finest male and female slammers from the Slovakian poetry scene, featuring a spectacular guest appearance by Anatol Svahilec, a luminary in European slam poetry.

• Bedňa: The 2022 Slovak champion in slam poetry, Bedňa is a multifaceted performer involved in musical comedy and stand-up since 2014. With aspirations in film directing and multimedia composition, his talents also extend to amateur theater. His blend of music, humor, and deep insight makes him a captivating performer.

• Zuzana Cascino: The 2025 Slovak Slam Poetry Champion, Zuzana is also a seasoned war correspondent from Ukraine. Her poignant performances often leave audiences in tears, capturing the powerful emotions that define slam poetry.

• Andrej Klobušník: A heightened figure in Slovak slam, Andrej is the first king of the hill and a renowned hysterical historian. As the 2025 Slovak runner-up, he excels at weaving intricate connections in his performances, showcasing his unique poetic voice.

• Anatol Svahilec: A titan of Czech slam poetry, Anatol has graced the stage across continents, including Germany, Poland, and Ghana. The 2014 Czech Republic Slam Champion, he is recognized for his legendary lyrics and is the author of three acclaimed collections. He actively hosts slam events at the beloved Pohoda festival.

Your host for the evening is Tomáš Straka, the founder of contemporary Slovak slam and its artistic director. He represented Slovakia at the 2018 European Championships and has tirelessly worked to foster the slam community, including bringing the European Slam Poetry Championships to Slovakia in 2024.
