Solti International Conducting Competition

Join us for the prestigious Solti International Conducting Competition in autumn 2026! 🍂✨ From October 1 to 10, this exceptional event, organized by Müpa Budapest in collaboration with Hungarian public media, will showcase talented conductors aged 18-35 from across the globe. Conductors will have the chance to perform in Hungary’s premier concert halls, recognized for their remarkable acoustics, while leading top local symphony orchestras. 🎻

This competition honors Sir Georg Solti, a legendary figure in the world of conducting, who dedicated his life to nurturing young musicians. 🎩💖 Following a preliminary selection, participants will compete in three rounds judged by a distinguished international jury at:

• Concert Hall of the Kodály Centre in Pécs
• Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy of Music
• Müpa Budapest – Béla Bartók National Concert Hall

Competitors will collaborate with esteemed orchestras, including:

• Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra from Pécs
• Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra
• Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra
