🎶 TAKAAT

TAKAAT (pronounced tuh-cot), which means "noise" in the Tuareg language of Tamashek, consists of Ahmoudou Madassane & Mikey Coltun, along with an electrifying drum machine. Known as the rhythm backbone for Mdou Moctar, TAKAAT embodies sonic chaos, improvisation, and the adventurous spirit of punk, drawing inspiration from bands like Fugazi and Unwound, combined with the soulful guitar music from the Sahel.

Born from soundchecks while touring with Mdou Moctar, TAKAAT channels a shared passion for loud amps and blown-out speakers. In late 2023, they began crafting music inspired by the vibrant sounds and energy of Hausa bar bands, gritty soukous, and the raw essence of 2000s post-punk. Expect a performance that is intense, dark, and electrifying, honoring the DIY ethos of punk and the thrill of collective ecstasy.

🌌 Heavenly Bodies

Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Heavenly Bodies is an ever-evolving psych experiment with a dynamic lineup of musicians. Centered around core members Ashley and Dustin Burrows and Shaun Bailey, they bring a captivating mix to the stage.
