• 4:00 - 5:00 PM: Engaging Talk on the Significance of Taverns
• 5:00 - 5:30 PM: Meet our partner organizations, Historic Ellicott City, Inc. and the Howard County Historical Society.

📜 Discussion Highlights:
Explore the vital roles that taverns played in the Colonial Period, focusing on social-political activities during the Revolution, including contributions from Black bartenders and women tavernkeepers, or 'Ordinaries.'
Join speaker JP Fetherston, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Maryland, as he shares fascinating insights from his research into the history of African Americans and social drinking in early America.
