The Painted Ladies & Cherry Blossom Festival (Dogs Welcome)

Join us for an adventurous hike near the stunning Presidio Golden Gate National Recreation Area! 🌳 We’ll navigate several historic and scenic staircases, passing the majestic Palace of Fine Arts and climbing the busy Lyon staircase for breathtaking panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay. 🏙️

Our journey takes us through the beautiful mansions of Pacific Heights before arriving at Alamo Square Park to marvel at The Painted Ladies—a vibrant row of Victorian houses at 710–720 Steiner Street. 🏠

Next, we’ll head to Japantown for the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival, featuring traditional Japanese music, martial arts demos, tea ceremonies, and the beloved Cherry Blossom Queen Program! 🎶🍵 Educational exhibitions will include origami, bonsai displays, and calligraphy demonstrations.

Trailhead / Meeting Point: Meeting at the beach near St Francis Yacht Club Parking Lot, 99 Yacht Road, San Francisco, 94123. Ample parking is available on both sides of the building.

Hiking Directions: Start at the beach near St Francis Yacht Club, cross the street and walk past the Palace of Fine Arts, then cross Lombard St. Up Lyon St., continuing up the steep staircase to Broadway Street. Turn left on Broadway, right at Scott Street, and continue on Scott to enter Alamo Square Park for views of the Painted Ladies and the city skyline. Perfect for a group photo and a break! 📸
