About the Event:
After nearly four decades of celebrating Ukrainian folk punk, the renowned international roots rock band from the UK, The Ukrainians, are embarking on their final tour in Spring 2026! 🌍✨
Originating in 1989, this groundbreaking band was the first to blend Ukrainian folk styles with western indie rock, captivating audiences worldwide with their powerful message and unique sound. 🎤
Over the years, The Ukrainians have played numerous shows across the UK, Germany, France, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, and Canada, spreading Ukrainian culture through their music. Their eight studio albums reflect the nation's struggles and triumphs, from independence efforts to the ongoing fight against external oppression.
They are well-known for their dynamic versions of traditional Ukrainian folk songs and Ukrainian-language adaptations of Western rock classics, reinterpreting artists like The Smiths, The Sex Pistols, and Motorhead. 🎸
Their new album, Liberation, releasing in Spring 2026, will feature a mix of fresh tracks and beloved classics, echoing the recent struggles for freedom.
