The Trial of Francois Soulés - A re-enactment

Join us on 16 May 2026 at the Guildhall as we dive into history with a reenactment of the infamous trial of Francois Soulés. On this day, we commemorate the 248th anniversary of the tragic shooting of John Fenton, which occurred at The Green Dragon Inn in Market Place, Leicester.

A jury will be randomly selected from attendees to deliberate the case after reviewing the evidence presented at the original trial. They will face the same three questions posed during the historic proceedings before determining Francois Soulés' fate.
