Peace be with you, brothers and sisters in Christ!
Join us for a meaningful and prayerful journey on Good Friday as we participate in a Swedish adaptation of the Filipino tradition known as "Bisita Iglesia." Come together as a community to embark on "Walk for Christ"—a pilgrimage of faith, sacrifice, and reflection as we visit various churches across the city through prayerful walking.
📍 Starting Point: Katolska domkyrkan i Stockholm, Folkungagatan 46, 118 26 Stockholm
🚶♂️ Pilgrimage Route (approx. 6.6 km):
- Katolska domkyrkan i Stockholm
- S:t Johannes kyrka
- Marie Bebådelse Församling
- St. Eugenia Church (Final Destination)
In each church, we will pause to pray and reflect on the Stations of the Cross, uniting ourselves with Christ in His suffering.
🎯 Goal: To arrive at St. Eugenia Church before 3:00 PM in time for the Liturgy of the Passion of Christ (Kristi lidandes liturgi).
The total walking distance is approximately 6.6 km, and we will walk at a calm and manageable pace to ensure everyone can join and participate prayerfully.
💭 Why Walk?
This walk serves as our Good Friday sacrifice, allowing us to reflect on Christ’s love, His suffering, and His ultimate sacrifice for us. Let us walk together in faith, in silence, in prayer, and in unity.
