We are still buzzing from the previous Whipped event, but already now we are ready to draw the curtains for the next round of lashing. For the April whipping, we are excited to give to you dutch pioneering techno DJ and producer Talismann. He is supported by the local veteran Ctrls, and the promising Norwegian newcomer PIPPA.

Whipped is a hypnotic techno party where detail, texture, quality, and skill is at the center of attention. This is techno in its most intoxicating form: stripped back, relentless, and finely tuned to keep you hypnotized from the first kick to the final echo.

Within the Whipped concept, we will present an international sound bringing both newer names and old legends to DAS, combined with a strong and blossoming local scene.

TALISMANN
Talismann is meticulously refining an unparalleled vision forged from over two decades of club expertise. For Talismann a.k.a. Guy Blanken, music is a matter of the heart, and a boundless playing field for sonic explorations. His compulsive curiosity has led him to unusual corners of the electronic music realm while always probing ever deeper into the abyss of sinister soundscapes and industrial drum patterns.

When Guy hasn’t locked himself in the studio, or isn’t tending to one of his labels, he loves engaging with the dance floor during one of his tireless DJ or live sets. Finding a home at Amsterdam institutions like Trouw, De School, and Dekmantel has given him the opportunity and freedom to connect with fellow travellers, and continue on his fascinating musical journey.

CTRLS
The Ctrls project was founded in 2012. From the first release the presence of a highly individual sonic style was apparent and his fast paced and futuristic techno based sound has now been well established with a stream of respected music on labels such as Token Records, Earwiggle, Micron Audio, Mechatronica and Key Vinyl. A lifelong devotee of electronic dance music, DJ’ing and live performance are central for the project. This has resulted in many involved sets at globally notable venues such as Tresor, Berghain, Khidi, Fabric, Kit Kat, Fold, Basement NY, and Club Drugstore as well a residency at Copenhagen's purest electronic venue: Den Anden Side. The future holds a wider scope as electro, breakbeats, noise and audio visual components are folded into the distinctive Ctrls sound palette.

PIPPA
is a Norwegian DJ based in Oslo, deeply rooted in the city’s close-knit electronic music community. Since her debut in 2023, she’s made a name for herself, playing at some of Oslo’s most well-known clubs and bringing her unique energy to the scene.

Her sets are all about playful experimentation—she loves weaving together unconventional sounds (or as she calls them, “plipp plopp sounds”) with bouncy basslines and a solid groove. PIPPA doesn’t stick to just one genre; she moves fluidly between techno, house, and everything in between, always curating tracks that match her mood and energy in the moment.

Our door staff will curate the crowd to the extent they find necessary, and they have an increased focus on the vibe and balance of the audience. On these nights we expect anyone who enters to have a basic knowledge about our policy.

‍All club nights operate with some level of selection. This event operates with the middle level, Normal Selection. You can always reach out to the management before or after an event on awareness@denandenside.com with questions or concerns. For the safety of our guests and staff, we may find it necessary to deny entry without providing an explanation.
