Xin Ying, a principal dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company and an innovative interdisciplinary artist, explores the convergence of dance, technology, and digital archives. Her latest work, In the Folds of Her Purple, reinterprets Martha Graham's classic solo, Lamentation, using a series of experimental media environments.

✨ Performance Highlights:

• Part 1: Janet Eilber opens the performance with a solo, transforming the iconic purple tube into a canvas for responsive projected media.
• Part 2: Lloyd Knight takes the stage with a captivating solo set to music by Myles Potters, in dialogue with stunning volumetric imagery created by Alan Winslow.
• Part 3: Concludes with a contemporary duet featuring Amanda Moreira and Jai Perez, accompanied by music from Bárbara Moreira, enhanced by the interactive video installation Time Mirror V by David Wallace Haskins.

💬 Following the performance, Xin Ying will join a moderated discussion, making this a rare opportunity to engage with the artist and delve deeper into her creative process.
