🎶 Works & Process Presents: The Metropolitan Opera - Innocence

This marks a rare opportunity to experience a performance ahead of the opera’s premiere at the Metropolitan Opera on April 6. Innocence, with its multilingual libretto crafted by Sofi Oksanen and Aleksi Barrière, delves deep into the complex web of trauma following a harrowing tragedy. The piece conjures a darkly beautiful soundscape, exploring themes of sorrow and resilience.

The evening features a moderated discussion led by Peter Gelb, Met General Manager, alongside the creative team, including conductor Susanna Mälkki, director Simon Stone, and librettists Sofi Oksanen and Aleksi Barrière.

🎤 Performers Jacquelyn Stucker (soprano), Joyce DiDonato (mezzo-soprano), Miles Mykkanen (tenor), and Finnish ethno-pop singer Vilma Jää will present highlights from the score that promises to leave you moved.
