Write In!

🔔 IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not gather in the lobby; it’s just a landmark for location. Head to the 7th floor (accessible via Elevator A) and stroll back to the register by the pizza oven. Our cozy writing corner is situated at one or both of the long rectangular tables.

Our vibrant group took shape in November 2016 as a NaNoWriMo write-in collective. After a month of creative enthusiasm, we decided to maintain our connection. We enjoy various writing activities including word wars, sprints, and occasional prompts. Initially, we met at OBA Amsterdam, then moved to Scheltema, which had everything to keep us comfy—great tables, both comfy and not-so-comfy chairs, power outlets, internet, and coffee too. However, like many, Covid impacted us and we had to return to the drawing board.

Now, we are back at the Central Library in Amsterdam on the 7th floor in the restaurant near the hot food pickup!
To find us: after entering the library, head up the steps, look right for Elevator A, and ride to the 7th floor. Walk straight back, passing the first register and buffet until you spot the hot food pick-up area.
