Meet Your Instructor:

Andrew Butcher is a computational, new media artist and creative technologist who thrives in the Bay Area TouchDesigner community. As an artist-in-residence at California College of the Arts, he teaches workshops and collaborates on various innovative projects.

Andrew's work delves into how technology shapes our perception of space and connection, often through interactive installations and audiovisual performances. He explores themes like world-building, generative design, and the effects of scale, using generative software and machine learning to tackle traditional art concepts such as light, space, form, and color.
