Film Activation: “The Utopian” - when art meets science

Om evenemanget

Join us for an engaging exploration of “The Utopian,” a film featuring artist Joaquín Fargas as he embarks on a poetic journey of protest through innovative inventions that challenge us to protect our vital natural resources before it's too late.

Currently in production, the film showcases breathtaking performances on Antarctica's stunning islands and Bolivia's salt flats, highlighting the ecological devastation caused by mining in the global lithium rush—driven by the rising demand for electric vehicles.

Join us on Governors Island to connect with Joaquín, co-director Frederick Bernas, and the creative team. Participate in a workshop featuring materials from the film, along with a day full of family-friendly activities in celebration of Father’s Day! 🎉

💵 Suggested donation: $5 to support our community space at the Climate Imaginarium, but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
