What is a Death Cafe?

A Death Cafe provides a warm, confidential, and friendly environment where individuals can come together to discuss the topics of death and dying openly. In small groups, participants sit around a table, allowing conversations to flow naturally, driven by the interests and feelings of the group. Each session offers a unique experience based on the attendees.

Tea, coffee, and delicious cake will be available for purchase!

It's essential to understand that while the Death Cafe encourages open dialogue, it is not a support group for those grieving a recent loss. If you're navigating fresh grief, we advise waiting before attending.

Why Attend?

There are myriad reasons why individuals may choose to join. Some might be confronting health issues or aging, prompting them to explore their thoughts on mortality. Others may wish to learn how to initiate conversations on death with loved ones, such as parents or grandparents. Additionally, participants may come seeking understanding, curiosity, or even to confront their fears related to dying.

Whether you're looking for a one-time experience or a regular gathering, everyone is welcome! Our Death Cafe is committed to inclusivity and is an LGBTQIA+ friendly space. We uphold a strict policy against discrimination and work diligently to ensure everyone feels welcome and understood.

Come and be part of our open discussion!
