The League of Women Voters of Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville (LWVBAE), a nonpartisan pro-democracy organization, is excited to host the internationally renowned environmental advocate Annie Leonard as the highlighted speaker for its Environmental Concerns Speaker Series! 🎤

Annie Leonard, famed for her influential animated film The Story of Stuff and her tenure as the former Executive Director of Greenpeace USA, will share her transformative insights into consumption, environmental responsibility, and the significance of systems change. Her newly released book, Protest, published by Patagonia, delves into the impact of peaceful activism throughout history and emphasizes the importance of safeguarding our right to protest. Leonard’s collaboration with prominent figures like Jane Fonda underscores the essential role of civic engagement in promoting environmental and social justice. ✊
