For Earth Day this April, we are proud to unveil the B&O No. CE-10 boxcar switcher. Did you know that steam engines were once banned in Baltimore due to hazardous exhaust? Until a cleaner alternative emerged, urban rail lines relied on teams of horses! The B&O’s Howard Street Tunnel electrified in 1895 was a game changer, allowing clean electric power to revolutionize a mainline railroad.

🛤️ The B&O No. CE-10, operational since 1909, was designed for the sharp turns and narrow streets of Fells Point, making it an essential part of the local infrastructure.
