Join us at Historic Rock Ford on Sunday, April 12 for an enlightening session in the Untold Stories of the Revolution Lecture Series. ✍️
Renowned speaker Mickey Herr will dive into her fascinating research titled, "That One Day Women Will Be Treated and Thought of the Same Way as Men: Considering Women’s Contributions to Colonial Pennsylvania."
Discover the remarkable stories of women from Colonial Pennsylvania, including ministers, interpreters, diarists, an inventor, and even a fur trader! 🌟 This journey of discovery not only transformed Herr’s understanding but also inspired the creation of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America’s docuseries, "For the Common Good: The Women Who Shaped Our Nation," spotlighting influential women in American history.
Mickey will particularly emphasize Lancaster-area figures, such as Ann Wood Henry—the first woman to hold public office in Pennsylvania!
📍 Location: Langmuir Education Room, Rock Ford Barn, 881 Rockford Rd, Lancaster, PA 17602-1225.
🕑 Time: 14:00 - 15:00.
🚗 Visitors are welcome to park behind the Barn.
Before the lecture, feel free to explore the Snyder Gallery and our 2026 Focus Exhibit, which will be open until 16:00.
