Join us for a remarkable journey as the renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and his studio Kengo Kuma & Associates grace Denmark with their first-ever exhibition! 🎉
The CCreate exhibition series welcomes a stunning new installation, Earth | Tree, transforming Hall 4 into a poetic architectural landscape. Experience architecture through your body and senses as you delve into Kengo Kuma’s philosophy of ‘gentle architecture’, which emphasizes dialogue with nature, place, and people. 🌳
This unique installation focuses on the elemental aspects of earth and wood, exploring our fundamental human need for shelter beneath trees. Immerse yourself in the beauty of komorebi, the Japanese term representing sunlight filtering through leaves, creating a mesmerizing play of light and shadow. ☀️🌿
On opening day, visitors can:
- Explore architectural materials 🧱
- Navigate through the unique landscape 🌍
- Experience space bodily in innovative ways 💫
Participate in a creative workshop zone, perfect for children and adults alike! Shape landscapes in sand, construct with wood and brick, and discover how architecture is formed through play, exploration, and imagination. 🎨
Welcome to CCreate — where creativity thrives! 🌱
Programme Highlights:
- 11:00 – 12:30: Free admission to CC
- 12:30: Opening speeches by CC’s Head of Learning, Julie Thaning Mikines, and Yuki Ikeguchi, Partner Architect at KKAA Paris
