Om evenemanget
Discover the poignant history of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, a symbol of Poland's sovereignty. This exhibition chronicles its tumultuous past, including the devastating fires during World War II and the heroic efforts of civilians and museum workers to save invaluable art collections amidst destruction. 🖼️
On September 17, 1939, the Castle became engulfed in flames as German forces targeted it early in the war. Despite the threats, dedicated individuals risked their lives to protect the Castle's heritage. The final act of destruction came during the Warsaw Uprising in September 1944, when German sappers demolished its walls.
Join us to explore the powerful journey of hope and resilience that led to the Castle's eventual reconstruction.
