Join us for a unique culinary journey into the heart of nature at Hackney Marshes! 🌳🌶️ Discover the rich array of seasonal plants and fungi as we come together to forage for the ingredients needed to create a delicious and heartwarming spicy rosehip stew.
This workshop is perfect for a day out with friends or an unforgettable date! Throughout the event, you’ll engage in enjoyable activities designed to inspire creativity and foster collaboration. Guided by Fergus, we will explore the wilds of Hackney Marshes, identifying various seasonal wild plants and herbs while learning the best practices to utilize them.
Each participant will gather a unique selection of ingredients for their very own spicy rosehip ratatouille. With Fergus' expertise, you'll have the freedom to customize your dish by incorporating a variety of herbs and, possibly, some fungi! 🍄
As we savor our delicious creations, we encourage you to ask Fergus any foraging questions you might have, as well as chatting with Tevin about his distinctive Herbivore culinary creations. 🍽️ Don’t forget to bring along some wine or beer to complement your meal! 🍷🍺
📍 Meeting Point: By 11 am at the entrance to the Middlesex Filter beds nature reserve (west side entry), which is accessible via the Canal Towpath opposite Millfields Park (check the attached picture for directions).
